Next week, we will be doing a listening assessment based on the reading articles that the students used for their project before the break. Each student will only be responsible for working with the sentences that come from the topic they studied. However, students are encouraged to challenge themselves by also attempting the sentences from the other topics.
For the assessment, students are to write down in English the meaning of the sentences they hear in French. I am not concerned with English spelling or grammar - only that the meanings of the French sentences are correctly conveyed.
In order to prepare for the assessment, students are encouraged to review their phonetic cues (they can be found under the section "Les strategies") and also to re-read their article (found below).
The 7/8 and 8 classes did a practice assessment today and the grade 7 class will do one either tomorrow or early next week.
