On Wednesday, December 16th, students are to submit their final copy of their "démonstration de compréhension". This includes handing in the project in the format they chose to do (i.e. comic, poster, film, infographic) and an audio recording of them speaking their sentences (can be recorded at home and sent to me at [email protected] or recorded on an iPad at school Monday or Tuesday). Students have been repeatedly reminded that before they start recording, they need to phonetically code their sentences using the sound cues we have been working with in class. For example, under letter combinations such as "ai" or "er", they will write "ay", because those letter combinations make the sound "ay" in French. This will help them pick out the sounds so that when they practice, they are practicing the correct pronunciation. Photos of the letter combinations and sounds they make have been added to the Stratégies section of the website. More information about the criteria of this assignment can be found in earlier blog posts.
